CONSENT AND AGREEMENT
By clicking AGREE, I:
- acknowledge that I have read, understand and agree to be bound by the rules and regulations governing The Storytellers Challenge , and certify that all information I submit is true and accurate;
- confirm that the Submission is an entirely original work created by me; that I have all necessary rights in and to the Submission; that the Submission does not infringe upon or violate any laws or any third party rights; that I have obtained all necessary permissions, licenses, clearances, releases, waivers of moral rights and other approvals from third parties, necessary to use the Submission, in whole or in part, in any way, and that any of these shall be made available to the Sponsor upon the Sponsor's request;
- grant the Sponsor the right to:
- use, reproduce, publish, transmit and/or broadcast my name, likeness, and/or prize information, without compensation, as stipulated in the Challenge's
rules and regulations; and
- use the Submission, in whole or in part, in any way, including without limitation, to reproduce, make derivatives, edit, modify, translate, distribute, transmit, publish, broadcast the Submission worldwide, by any means, and authorize others to carry out such acts as listed above in this paragraph without compensation;
- in consideration of my participation in the Challenge and of the prize that may be awarded to me, hereby agree to release and hold harmless the Sponsor and the Collaborating Organizations (the Releasees) from any liability in connection with my participation in the Challenge, or the preparation or use of my Submission and agree to indemnify the Releasees for any liability and all reasonable costs arising from any third party action, claim or proceeding commenced against the Releasees because of my participation in the Challenge, or the preparation or use of my Submission;
- understand that any personal information collected in order to administer the Challenge is under the control of SSHRC and will be managed in accordance with the Privacy Act, and acknowledge that personal information collected for the purposes of administering the Challenge may be subject to disclosure in accordance with the Access to Information Act; and
- declare that I am a student enrolled at a Canadian postsecondary institution, that I am a Canadian resident, and that I am at least 19 years of age.
